Wheels …

ITHACA-Helen Robbins aka Helen Wheels, age 50, died
at Cayuga Medical Center on Monday, January 17, 2000, due to associated
complications following surgery.

Helen was born in Queens, NY on May 6, 1949, the daughter of Marci and Allan
Robbins, and grew up in Rockville Centre, NY. She was a resident of NYC for
most of her life, but had made Ithaca her home since 1996.

Helen was a gifted poet, author, actress, horsewoman, naturalist, and gold
and platinum record-award winning singer/songwriter. An electrifying stage
presence, Helen performed with the Helen Wheels Band and more recently
with Static Cling.

She will be remembered for all of these accomplishments but
even more for her loving nature, her sense of humor, and her closeness and
honesty with family and friends.

Helen is survived by her father Allan of Ithaca, her sister Anne of Ithaca,
brother Peter of NYC, brother-in-law Jim, niece Rebecca, nephew David,
sweetheart William, and many loving cousins and friends.

A memorial service and celebration of Helen's life will be held at a future
date, notice of which will be posted in the Ithaca Journal.
Please send any donations in Helen's memory to
Hospicare, 172 E. King Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850

This website will continue far into the future. Check back often as we will be adding the most recent photos of Helen we took during a session a few months ago.

Fans & friends should feel free to leave messages and postings on Helen's guestbook and message board. Though Helen won't be answering them, you can bet your ass she's reading them. Messages can also be sent via email
